The Global ICT Standards Conference (GISC) 2025 was held from Monday, November 3 to Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at EL Tower in Seoul, under the theme “ICT Standards and Intellectual Property: AI for All.” As Korea’s largest international event on standards and patents, GISC has long served as a forum for discussing next-generation ICT technologies and the future of standardization. This year’s conference brought together standardization experts from around the world, along with representatives from industry, academia, and research institutions.

The conference focused on standardization issues in key and emerging technologies such as AI, 6G, quantum, and digital transformation. Global companies, international standards organizations, and policy institutions joined the discussions on interoperability, trustworthiness, and the harmonization of standards and intellectual property.

The program also featured a range of exchange events, including Capacity Building sessions, the Korea-China-Japan IT Cooperation Meeting, and the Korea-EU Standards Strategy Workshop. Over the three days, 88 speakers gave presentations, and 69 presentation materials have been made publicly available.
